How To Serve

Whether you’ve just begun exploring the possibilities of serving among Muslims … or are well on your way to the field, we at Frontiers want to join you in your calling.

Ministry experience and seminary are not requirements for effectively reaching Muslims with the good news of Jesus.  The ways Frontiers workers serve as Christ’s witnesses overseas are as diverse as the people God has called to the task.

The many options you have for reaching Muslims with the good news of Christ may surprise you.  In fact, it’s probably safe to say that, if God is calling you – or may be calling you – to His work among Muslims, Frontiers has a sending program that’s a fit for you!

Long-Term Service

Those ready to make a long-term commitment will include individuals whose hearts are set on a specific place or Muslim people group, as well as others who are seeking direction.

While most wish to be team members, some will aspire to lead teams.

There will be “entrepreneurial types” who like to lay their own foundations, as well as people who prefer to build on an existing foundation, and still others who want to respond to identified opportunities.

Many pursuing long-term service will be open to becoming part of any new or existing team, while some will already have a specific team they wish to join.  And friends within fellowships will sometimes form their own “Church-Based” team.

As long as your focus is the Muslim world, chances are very good that Frontiers can help you fulfill your vision for long-term service.

Short-Term Service

Many who feel they may be called to long-term service will seek short-term opportunities as a way of exploring and equipping themselves for that calling.

In response, Frontiers’ provides opportunities for short-term service, ranging from two weeks to two years overseas.

There are short-term programs for those interested in experiencing a new culture and learning about Islam, applying their skills to a ministry, and preparing for long-term ministry.

If the possibility of serving long-term in the Muslim world is motivating you to consider short-term opportunities, Frontiers is a great place to begin.

S.T.A.R.T.

For individuals interested specifically in reaching unengaged Muslim people groups, S.T.A.R.T. is a program that combines both short-term and long-term opportunities to join church planting movements in many of the world’s “hardest places.”

God is calling hundreds of Americans to go farther than anyone has gone in order to be the first to share the good news of the gospel.  If you are one of them, we are here to help you.
