S.T.A.R.T.

"And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."  (Matt. 24:14)

What is S.T.A.R.T.?

S.T.A.R.T. is a strategic program, specifically designed to further advance Frontiers’ progress toward our objective of reaching “unengaged” Muslim people groups – people among whom there is no viable witness for Christ.

With both short-term and long-term components, S.T.A.R.T. offers opportunities to a broader base of potential field workers.

Think of this sending program as “a relay race within a marathon.”

How Does S.T.A.R.T. Start?

Continuing the “relay” illustration, S.T.A.R.T. begins with a “Bridge Team” – 2-4 professionals in business, education or other disciplines, who will live and work in an unengaged community for 1-2 years.

The Bridge Team focuses on developing a business or educational opportunity, building relationships and making connections.

What is the Long-Term Component?

While the Bridge Team is at work, a Long-Term Team is formed and prepared to take over for them and to initiate a church planting effort.

The “hand-off” takes place when the Long-Term Team moves in to assume control of the already established enterprise, strengthen the existing contacts and establish new ones.

When is the “Relay” Over?

The Long-Term Team’s “finish line” is a reproducing church of Muslim background believers.

As with any marathon, only those willing to make a serious commitment over the long haul should even consider signing up.

Is S.T.A.R.T. Right for Me?

S.T.A.R.T. is an ideal option for discontent risk-takers who are desperate for a world that lines up with God’s intentions.

If you have an entrepreneurial spirit or thrive on the challenges of pioneering, and God has given you a heart for the unengaged, this may be your chance to be the first to tell them.
